This photo is a long exposure looking down Green Street towards Campus Town. Campus Town is located on the edge of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) It is a popular area of town with college students at UIUC because of its bars, restaurants, and other establishments.

Because the photo is a long exposure, lights on the cars passing by created light trails through the photo, even though the cars themselves are not visible in the photo. Those light trails appear to hover just above the surface of the street. A few people are visible on the sidewalks along the buildings. The people that were moving during the exposure sort of look like ghosts as a result of the long exposure as well.
